Lots of fish but nothing over 1.5 pounds, Drop shoting robo worms in anywhere from 5-50 feet was the most productive technique. Fish were deep in the morning and moved shallower in the afternoon when the wind picked up. Spinnerbiats caught a couple as well. The lake is dropping fast because they plan on doing some work on the damn in a couple weeks. The lake will close once the work begins. Continue reading ...

Sunday morning I arrive at the ramp, and find there is an ABA tournament going on. We wait for the 30 boats to launch, and then take off. It’s been warm and sunny all week, but the water temp on the main lake is still in the upper 50’s. The back of Dry Creek was our first stop. We start off throwing Brush Hogs, jigs and drop shots on a deeper rocky ledge that was near a spawning flat. The fish were schooled up there pretty good. We worked the area for two hours and caught 9 bass, ... Continue reading ...

Same bite as yesterday only less boats on the water, and more bass in the boat. Around 40 total. Jigs, drop shots, spoons, and small swimbaits all produce fish. 20-50 feet of water out on the main lake. SPOT Personal Tracker GPS Waypoints Continue reading ...

After having a little trouble with the people doing the mussel inspections, we finally got on the water at around 9am. I focused at my graph as we pulled up our first stop, and quickly realized how many bass were suspending chasing bait. During the first hour, we had non-stop action. We found a huge school of bass. On a 100 yard stretch of bank, from 20-50 feet of water my fishfinder was filled with balls of bait with bass slashing right through them. All parts of the water column were ... Continue reading ...

Sure seems like it's going to be another dry winter. Lake Anderson seems like one of the few likes that might survive a rainless spring. The island top right outside the 5mph zone is still submerged, which means we have at least another 40 feet until the end of the ramp. Which isn't to bad for this time of the year. Other bodies of water such as Lake Oroville are in survival mode, 240 feet and dropping! Everyone needs to get outside and do a little rain dance.
Total of three peop... Continue reading ...
