March 20-22, 2010 Clear Lake

Fished south the first day, spinnerbaits and flipping jigs worked best.  Myself and two others caught 13 bass largest was 5 pounds.  Second day started at the Keys and caught nothing, then fished north between Adobe Creek and Konocti Vista Casino. Caught 10 bass on swimbaits (Osprey and Basstrix in light hitch), and Brush Hogs fished out of the tulies.  Last day started at Lands End Marina and caught a couple out from the mouth on Brush Hogs, then fished the very north end of Lakeport.  Drop ...

September 15, 2009 Lake Anderson

An unusual September storm just passed a couple days ago.  We were faced with post frontal conditions, but it was still quite warm for being 8:30 in the morning.  There was absolutely no wind and the water was quite clear.  Our first stop was on a big weedy flat that had a nice ledge that broke off into the main lake channel.  A few bass were busting bait, but they would not hit any of the topwater baits we threw at them.  I should have maybe scaled down the size of our lures. August 29, 2009 Lake Berryessa

Started at the mouth of Skiers Cove and caught a few on topwater, Vixens and Poppers.  Went up north to Putah Creek and caught a couple more on senkos on the bridge pilings.  Worked farther up Putah Creek and waisted 3 hours, no fish.  At 1pm we went back out toward the main body.  After being dead calm all day, the wind finally picked up.  Fishing main lake ledges we caught about 15 bass in the next two hours.  DD22 crankbaits caught a few 2lbrs, and the rest of them were caught drop shoting...
